ROBAM, CAMBODIAN DANCE THROUGH THE EYES OF ANDREAS DIETL

From March 13–23rd, visitors to the prestigious Photobastei in Zurich experienced Robam, an intimate photographic journey by Andreas Dietl. Captured in the early 2000s during his time in Cambodia, Dietl’s work celebrated the enduring cultural and communal heritage of traditional Cambodian dance—a vital thread in the country’s recovery from war. Through his lens, the elegance, emotion, and intensity of each movement came alive, offering a powerful tribute to resilience and tradition.
